J113 SEGMENT MILESTONE

HSB Precast Segments From Casting to Launching

HSB Precast Yard located in Tractor Road is established to facilitate the Jurong Regional Line J113 and J115A precast segments. HSB Precast Yard began its construction in August 2022 and was completed in April 2023. The precast yard consist of two production bays and it is designed with manufacturing facilities for efficient precast concrete production. To optimize the production, each bay houses three short line casting molds and boasts with heavy lifting gantries with maximum capacity of 80 tonnes.

J113 Segment Milestone 01

Both projects share the same facility which make the production become more complex. Hence, careful planning is crucial to ensure J113 and J115A projects share the facility efficiently and minimizing  disruption to production schedules. Optimizing and maintaining a consistent casting schedule is vital to minimize project delays. Any disruption necessitates immediate mitigation plans to recover lost time.
Till date, HSB Precast Yard has surpassed the segment requirement within a year. J115A’s production presents fresh challenges due to complex segment variations. Despite its complexity, the Precast Yard’s teams have overcome these challenges positively through collective team work.
